What should you look for in a handheld vacuum?

Check how long the handheld vacuum lasts on a full battery, whether the vacuum also picks up light wet dirt, which filter it has and whether you can use the vacuum in the car. Below you can read how the SuperNova and the Meteor differ.

SuperNova or Meteor?

• SuperNova: at home you vacuum on the built-in battery, in the car you connect the SuperNova to the 12V socket with the car cable. An LED light shows what is under the seat. There are three versions: with storage bag, with storage bag and three HEPA filters, and a handheld vacuum in black and grey.
• Meteor: a light handheld vacuum of 120 W for crumbs, sand and dust on the sofa. The Meteor also picks up light wet dirt, such as a spilled drink.

How long does the battery last?

You charge the SuperNova via USB in about 4 hours. A full battery lasts 25 to 30 minutes, depending on the version. The Meteor lasts up to 30 minutes on a full battery. After a job, put the handheld vacuum back on the charger, so the vacuum is ready for next time.

Why a HEPA filter?

A HEPA filter also traps very fine dust and pollen. A dirty filter reduces suction power. Rinse the filter under the tap and let the filter dry completely before you put the filter back. Separate HEPA filters for the SuperNova come in sets of two: that way you fit one while the other dries.

Nozzles for every spot

With the crevice nozzle you reach the seams of the sofa and the gaps between the car seats. The brush is for dust and hair on furniture, and the flexible hose gets you into awkward spots.
